As a Director in the Nonclinical/Clinical Team at VCLS, Marie-Agnès is responsible for the management of non-clinical projects, the provision of scientific, technical, and regulatory advice to operational areas and clients, and the preparation and review of non-clinical regulatory documentation.
Marie-Agnès brings to the role more than 20 years of experience, having worked as a toxicologist in both the pharmaceutical industry and is a contract research organisation. This includes running safety studies (toxicology, reprotoxicology, genotoxicology, safety pharmacology, in vitro studies), having responsibility for the management of a team of Study Directors/Monitors, and preparing all the non-clinical regulatory documentation (briefing packages, IBs, INDs, IMPDs, DSURs, etc). She has also been involved in the preparation for and meeting with, a number of regulatory agencies.
Prior to joining VCLS, Marie-Agnès worked at Debiopharm, where she developed an expertise in the fields of oncology and anti-infective therapeutics (small molecules and biologics). She also worked for 11 years at Galderma R&D as a non-clinical Study Director, Sponsor–Representative and Toxicologist–representative. During this time Marie-Agnès developed substantial experience in the development of dermatology products (small molecules), cosmetics, OTC products, and medical devices. Marie-Agnès started her career working for MDS Pharma Services as a Study Director in general toxicology, where she was responsible for data evaluation (including clinical pathology), and the preparation of study plans and reports, according to the regulatory guidelines and GLP. During that time, she was involved in the set-up of neonatal juvenile studies in non-rodent species and sat on the Animal Ethical Committee from 2005 to 2006
Marie-Agnès completed a Ph.D. in Pharmacology (« Sciences du Medicament ») at the University Henri-Poincaré Nancy in 1999, followed by two years conducting post–doctoral research and teaching. She was awarded a European Registered Toxicologist status in 2008.
Marie-Agnès is based in our Lausanne office in Switzerland.
